COSMELAN®  DEPIGMENTING PROFESSIONAL TREATMENT

 

The Cosmelan protocol typically involves the following steps:

 

1. Consultation: Before starting the treatment, you will have a thorough consultation with a qualified medical professional at Secret Looks. We will assess your skin condition, medical history, discuss your expectations, the risks and what to expect throughout the healing process.

2. Pre-treatment skin preparation: For a minimum of 2 weeks leading up to the procedure, you will be given specific skincare products to prepare your skin for the treatment. The skin preparation period may be extended based on the individual needs of your skin.

3. Melanostop prep-peel: applied by a medical professional

in clinic, the melanostop prep-peel will be carried out a few

days before your cosmelan treatment. 

 

4. Cosmelan peel application will be 2 - 7 days post

prep-peel: During the procedure, the cosmelan mask is

applied to the affected areas of your skin by a qualified medical professional in clinic. The mask contains active ingredients that help to inhibit melanin production.

5. Mask incubation: The mask is left on your skin at home for a specific duration (8-12 hours), depending on your skin type and the severity of the pigmentation.

6. Mask removal: After the 8 - 12 hour incubation period at home, you will remove the cosmelan mask with warm water, and the treated area is cleansed thoroughly.

7. Home care regime: Following the in-clinic treatment, you will be provided with a home care regime to continue the depigmentation process. This will include specific creams or products to use guided by your clinician.
